Great Site! My 8 year old daughter is learning Bharathanatyam for around one year. Her teacher is very good. However, it is difficult for my daughter to grasp everything since the class is just once a week. Also, not understanding Tamil or Sanskrit becomes a major handicap for her. This site caters to students like her. Thanks for taking the effort in simplifying the fundamentals of this great art.

I have had to shift out of Indonesia and this class is no longer functional. I am so sorry about this. The Webiste continues to remain as a guide for students in general.

I am an employee of Indiatourism Kolkata office. I felt, though lot of tourists go to the south, few visit Chidambaram. So, I want to visit the place myself first, and then advice others. As a part of complete experience of Chidambaram, is it possible to visit your institute and witness a dance recital? I shall visit Chidambaram on 25th September 2009.

My heartful Namaskaram, to whom reading my mail. Im Dharani from Malaysia. Ill b coming to indonesia specifically bandung to persue my studies and i was quite sad that im goin to leave my dance half way. but later smtin striked me to go n look for any bharathanatyam dance academy in bandung and i came across tiz web page. can u exactly tell me which place is tiz dance academy is located? I am glad to learn that you are considering continuing your advanced education in Bharathanatyam. India has a lot of good institutes and teachers and it would be very difficult for me to list them. You could check with the Indian High Comission at KL or the website ICCR (Indian Council of Cultural relations) .
You should decide based on your length of stay,style preferences, budget, city that you want to stay etc. Chennai has a lot of good choices to offer.
